Study and work in Australia for Indian students
Most of the international students further continue education after the completion of their Associate degree or undergraduate studies. A student needs to show proof of funds for paying tuition fees and for other living expenses to continue their studies and also to get an extension on his/her student visa. - Travel Visa: Students who wish to explore the beautiful continent of Australia before commencing their career or before they look out for employment opportunities, then the ‘Tourist Visa’ would be suitable for them. This visa has validity of 3-12 months
- Working Holiday Visa: This visa is issued by the Australian Immigration and Border protection (AIBP) office, which allows a student to work and travel in Australia for a maximum of 12 months
- Employer Nomination Scheme Visa: In this type of visa the student must have a valid job offer from an Australian company and this company must sponsor for the student’s visa. This visa allows you to live and work in Australia until a student is the employed by that organization
- Gain Professional Work Experience: A graduate student who wishes to apply for PR (Permanent Residency) can apply for this visa and continue a year program which is an ideal program in gaining a real time experience and enhance the industry specific skills
- Temporary Graduate Visa: In this visa, a student can stay back for 18 months after completing his/her studies to search for a job and to travel across Australia. Meanwhile, graduates with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree will have 2 years work visa permit initially and this could be further extended by an employer. Similarly 3 years work permit visa is given for research graduate and 4 year work permit visas for PhDs graduates respectively
- PR (Permanent residency) Visa: This is for student visa holders who have completed a minimum of two years of study in Australia. Permanent residency is given based on the Qualification and results of a points test
