SkillSelect Meaning: SkillSelect is the Department’s online system for assisting with the skilled migration process.

SkillSelect renders one to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for all skilled visa subclasses such as: points tested skilled migration visas, employer sponsored visas and business visas SkillSelect is a mandatory part of the application procedure for points tested and business visas. SkillSelect is not a must for employer sponsored visas but can be used to assist in the locating a suitable employer. Before you submit your EOI, should meet the requirements of the visa subclass that you are applying for.

If you want to apply for a points tested skilled migration visa and have the requisite skills to work in Australia, you ought to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and it has to meet the requirements for the visa subclass you wish to apply for.
